16" 7.62x39 NITRIDE HBAR PERFORMANCE BARREL | 7.62 X 39

The O.D. finish does leave a little to be desired, but lets face it, the O.D. is cosmetics. inside on the "business end" looks great. the Feed ramps align perfectly and set a little lower than the feed ramps on my upper receiver. This will allow me to room to blend in my upper for a nice transition for bullet feeding/guiding without having to grind on and polish the M4 extension.. [ an area that we must pay attention to when using 7.62x39.] The Nitride coating appears to be heavier in the ID. [ if that is even possible during the treatment process. Threading on the muzzle is clean and tight. Overall for the price I paid, I am very satisfied and will have to update when I finally receive my 6.8 Grendel bolt from another vendor. [ yes a 6.8 Grendel bolt for the 7.62x39 ]

Chambered perfectly. When I finish this build I am building another. Wish you guys carried the7.62x39 bolt.

Just recieved my barrel upon opening I was amazed at the quality of the finish and cleanliness of the bore, often time you recieve them with all kinds of shavings & junk inside from "others" not this. I can't Wait to try it at the range to see if my results are as they say to expect 1/2" MOA! at 100 yards 5 shots touching. If it shoots as well as it looks i will be buying more and sending friends this way.

Bought one of the 16" barrels for an AR build. I've built numerous x39 uppers the past few years. I think they receive a bad rap. If you put them together properly and run a quality trigger, springs and BCG they work as well as any other caliber. To date I have over 120 rounds through the barrel using a RCA BCG and it's shot everything I've put through it reliably and groups as well any other barrel I've used.

Barrel is a stunning piece. I was so happy with it when it arrived. Its finish is above average and really ties the gloss of the parts together for a high end look. Very excited to finish project and get the rifle to the range. Thanks. Happy returning customer

The barrel looks promising. The finish is nice and dark, the gasport is drilled nicely and it mated to my upper tightly. The barrel is not dimpled. The bore looks good. I can't tell if it's worth it until i shoot it but it does look promising.

Just got it before Christmas. Looked beautiful out of the box and real clean. Perfect in the build. I can't wait to shoot. I would like to get back on that after a few rounds. I was also impressed with the follow up by Customer Service and how quickly they got it to me during the heaviest of shipping seasons. If it shoots like I think it will I will be more than happy especially for the price. Have a 5.56 Melonite Nitride barrel and it is smooth on target after high rounds and rapid fire. Thanks Cobra.

First off most melonite barrels inside are not shiny. This one is like a mirror. Had to combine feed ramps and polish. Shoots good. I question the melonite inside barrel. Reveiws said you would have to tweak this ar build. Weapon runs good.
