18" 6.5 GRENDEL NITRIDE FLUTED OBSIDIAN MATCH BARREL | MID 1:8

I just got my barrel today and I am impressed with the how it looks. It appears to be well made and worth the money that I paid for it. I plan to shoot it soon. If anyone else wants a 18" 6.5 grendel barrel for their AR 15 build I recommend this one. fast shipping and packaged well.

I’ve taken 2 deer this season with my 18” 6.5 Grendel at a little over 100 yards love this barrel.

For the money it's a nice barrel. Shoots Factory hornady sst like garbage. 5 shots 1.5/2 inch groups. Shoots eldm black at 1.85 5 shot but without flyer the other 4 were at .70. Those two factory loads are all I've tried. Using bags up front and rear in prone at 100 yards. Swfa ss 10x scope. Swfa ssalt mount. Standard trigger, Will try to load some 129 interlock for it, and maybe Sierra pro Hunter 120s. Functions well in the 80 rounds I've shot. I don't recommend the sst as a lot of people on 65grendel.com say they have trouble w it also.

Product was shipped quickly and packed well. Very happy with with quality and condition I received it. I have only put 15 rds through it but it has performed flawlessly so far. Would have given it 5 star but since I haven’t put in the range time to fully test accuracy I’m going with 4 for now.

I have only shot 50 rounds so far but have been very impressed with the results. Barrel break-in progressed very quickly compared to other calibers/barrels I have done. I cleaned after each shot for the first 10 rounds using hoppes bore snake each time. After that I shot 2 x 5 shot groups then ran a bore snake again, then i shot 3 x 10 shot groups and ran more bore snake in between, then she was cleaned and put away: Group Size: I was using a Vortex 1-4x30mm scope on 4x to get the following results. 5 shot group 100 yds .82" center to center Hornady Black 123 gr ELD Match Function: I used an adjustable gas block with the mid length gas system and a gas port measured at .0925-.093" I used a JP Enterprise extra power carbine spring and an H1 buffer. Conclusion: I have no doubt that I can shoot half MOA or better with a higher power scope using this same round in this Obsidian barrel.

These barrels may be inexpensive for "no namers", but they are very accurate indeed.

Great barrel, looks great and shoots sub moa! Will buy another if building more!
