Cobratac 7.5" 7.62x39  Barrels have been professionally developed for accuracy and competition target shooting. The 7.62x39  7.5" Pistol Barrel which is Ultra Light in Weight while maintaining rigidity will outperform cheaper brand x competitor barrels in accuracy, dependability, and consistency. Our 7.62x39 CQB barrels offer the accuracy of a high end competition barrel for much less thus saving you money. The use of 7.62x39 ammo also saves money vs other large bore ammunition such as 7.62x59, 300aac, .50 Beowulf, and .458 socom etc... The Cobratac barrel is custom Machined from premium blanks of 4150 Chrome-Moly Vanadium Barrel Steel.  They are Cryogenically Heat treated and Stress relieved and case hardened to Hardened Rockwell C 28-32 Spec.Nitrite Treated (QPQ Melonite) for prolonged accuracy and durability under heavy use/competition.The Barrels are manufactured under the ISO 9002 Quality System, and go through a Final Inspection before shipping.

Nitride Treated:Read about this process being better than Chrome lined bores

These barrels have been treated with a Black Nitride treatment. The result of this process is markedly improved surface properties on ferrous metal parts while maintaining dimensional and shape stability. Metal components treated with Black Nitride have increased wear-resistance, fatigue strength, corrosion resistance, lubricity and cosmetic appeal. Often replacing the more expensive processes of hard chrome or nickel plating, Black Nitride gives better corrosion protection. Additionally, Melonite is commonly used as an alternative to high temperature conventional heat treatments such as carburizing and carbon nitriding.
