Seeking the best and we think we found it!

When Cobratac's team set out to find the most comfortable AR15 grip we looked at many obvious choices. The resulting MMG (Multi Mission Grip) is the new standard for comfort in the industry. Not only does its shape contribute to comfort, so does its position. The MMG allows the operator to improve their grip, control, comfort, and access to the operations of their rifle.

What do our customers think?

Many of our Customers are realizing how beneficial an adjustable angle rifle grip is after they were given the opportunity to use the Cobratac MMG Grip. They saw substantial improvement in operating the fire controls and the safety selector. Our diverse customer base has also found it much easier to acquire a more natural and comfortable grip while shooting with the ideal grip angle based on their stance.

What is the best Grip Angle for you?

33 DEGREES

This angle is based on the “A2 grip” originally seen in the 1960’s. At this time the only AR style weapons were equipped with a full length fixed rifle stock, and common shooting stances included an “elbow out” and more upright stance. This angle tends to be a top choice while shooting with an upright stance and/or a full length or fully extended stock.

25 DEGREES

With the introduction of the collapsible stock, combined with the introduction a modern shooting stances which focus on a compact stance, many found the A2 grip to be too much angle. In the late 90’s, and early 2000’s several AR accessories manufacturers began offering grips similar to this angle. This angle serves as a great middle option. Shooters preferring the 33 degree angle may find this angle to be ideal from shooting with a shorter stock or when requiring quick engagement. And shooters preferring the 17 degree angle may find this is the ideal angle when using a full length stock or from the prone position.

17 DEGREES

The newest angle of the three is relatively new to the AR market, but the angle very close to many stock grips on other sporting rifles dating back over 50 years. With the further advancement of the company modern shooting techniques, a tight “elbow in” stance with a collapsed or partially collapsed stock the demand a more vertical pistol grip became apparent. On a military and LE side many find this angle to be ideal, promoting quick engagement and improved control when engaging from a vehicle or in close quarters combat.

Wrist comfortA SENSE OF PLACEMENT FOR ANY SIZE HAND

We studied the firearms market for standout grips both outside and within the AR platform. The primary lessons for shape are shown in Fig. 1. “Subtle finger grooves” provide a sense of placement for any size hand.

BETTER COMFORT

The rear of the grip has a “slight palm swell” that nests into your hand for better comfort and control. The rear wall of the grip extends downward as low as possible to maximize the hand’s purchase and support.

BALANCE AND CONTROL

Finally, the texture was carefully selected and placed to balance control and comfort. The rest of the details are in the 3D shape which was optimized using prototypes and user testing.

GRIP ANGLE

The most unique feature of the MMG is the adjust-ability of the grip’s angle. This is an acknowledgement by the XTech Tactical’s design team that there is a wide range of shooting styles and shooter sizes.

The ability to change angles of the grip can relieve stress on the shooter’s wrist as shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3.

PUT IT ALL TOGETHER

These elements all work together to make this very likely the most comfortable grip you will ever try and the last grip you will ever need to purchase.
