We use a proprietary Barrel nut for installation: The Scout Carbon Pro Free Floats are lighter than even the lightest aluminum quad-rail hand guards on the market.They are tougher that steel yet Ultra light weight and resist heat, keeping your hand cooler than conventional Handguards. The Scout Carbon Pro uses a modular rail system so you can position the detachable rails where you want and remove them where you don't. The Scout Carbon Pro is easy to install:  Utilizing our gen 3  Barrel nut see the installation video for more details. Note: Our Key-Mod Hand-guards are proprietary, they are not compatible with other key-mod systems.

        I purchased the 7" Pistol Length carbon fiber free float for a 300 AAC pistol build. So far, I love it. The fact that is is super light weight is a large bonus with the pistol build. I have my concerns regarding its durability but it seems to do the job. I would definitely recommend this product, especially for the price.

        Looks awesome, very light weight. I like that the carbon fiber is a dull or matte rather than shiney like you would see on car hoods. Overall happy with product, have not had a chance to see it perform at the range but everything else has been 5 star

        Cobra shipped this to me faster than I expected, it looks and feels better than I expected it was really easy to install and for the price you can't beat it. Did I mention it looks really really good on my AR LOL GREAT PRODUCT

        Received my new 16.5 inch AR 15, carbon hand guard-superb quality feather light with a simple barrel locking setup. I would like to use a similar set up in an AR 10 build I have coming up.Definitely would purchase again.

        IF you are looking for a slick light handguard this one is nice! Really good quality lots of rail space with a good looking end cap.

        I'm a big fan of Carbon Fiber Handguards and always purchased them from AP Customs in the past. But since those are not available any more, I decided to take a chance on this one from Cobratac Systems. Best decision I've made in awhile. Top notch quality and I love the unique mounting system which is very solid and visually appealing. With more features and less than half the price of the AP Customs handguard you can't go wrong.

        I received my CTS handguard the other day, haven't had time to put on yet but seems very durable, aesthetically pleasing, and of good quality. Great price compared to other companies. As well as decent speed on shipping, I live in WI and it ships from FL and didn't take very long to receive.
