Looking forward to testing this out.
My only concerns with this product are that I thought it was a gloss finish on the Carbon Fiber, as it looks in the pictures, however, it is more of a matte finish. I am also hoping that the front of this rail (which is quite far from the mounting bolts) will be strong enough to mount and use a bipod. I guess I will find out when I finish the build and test it.

Not pleased with the service
I bought the 12.25" free float carbon fiber hand fairs and there was some defects. I emailed customer device asking if this was to be expected and never heard back. I like the product but not happy with customer service. Non-exsistent.

Fantastic
I purchased this for the first AR I've ever owned to start building it into an awesome looking weapon. Looks great and everything is as advertised. I'm completely pleased with it. But for a beginner like myself with no knowledge of how to install it the instructional video online was lacking a lot. After some digging online I got the proper tools I needed and installed it myself but it could of gone a lot smoother with a step by step video instead of a slide show.

So far so good
the carbon fiber free float hand guard looks nice and is very light. However, I wish they made better installation videos.

CTS Ultra Lite-Carbon Fiber Series | Free Float Handguard
I bought two, one 9 inch and one 12.5. Out of the box impressions, they are definitely lite, to the point that it instills a concern whether they have the strength to hold up. The 9 inch is going on a .458 SOCOM. We'll see how it holds up. Over all fit and finish is acceptable. Lots of air passage/cooling slots which gave me the impression that they may weaken the tube and that it may not stand up to heavy/hard use. There are many (a lot) along the top each side of the top rail. I had sort of thought about taking the top rail off but with the perforated top, going on the .458 SOCOM, I don't think that would be a good idea. That top rail will add strength. Some of the cut out slots showed de-laminated carbon fiber. I can clean those up with some epoxy. I checked every screw that holds this together. There are metal inserts inside the hand guard that provide a bearing surface for the screws that hold the rails on. Two screws turned freely in the bottom rail on the nine inch tube. The metal insert was stripped out probably during initial assembly. I have asked for a new insert and if/when it arrives that should fix the problem. These were the only screws on both hand guards that were foul. Seems an easy fix. Installation was pretty straight forward. There is a piece that fits behind the stock barrel nut (remove delta ring and spring) and a piece that fits in front that clamp together. The piece that fits behind the barrel nut has an index knob that keeps the orientation up and down correctly. The piece that fits in front of the barrel nut would not accommodate the large diameter of the .458 SOCOM barrel. A little judicious filing with a curved file opened it up enough to clear the barrel. Heavy barrel users made need to open that up. I filed just the area needed to clear the barrel. Clamps up nice and rigid. Fits perfectly over the low profile gas block. (Carbine length gas system). Overall it is a lite weight hand guard and more than likely has enough strength to hold up. I would be concerned using a vertical fore grip, especially with the .458 SOCOM, but I don’t so I’m sure it will be fine. I would change this to a five star rating with a year of use and it’s still holding up. The other issues, the fiber de-lam and stripped insert are minor and easy to fix. If it were my design I would eliminate half the air slots along the top half, spread them out a little more and maybe go to a carbon tube a few mills thicker. There is an end cap that I left off, both for more weight savings and I see no purpose for it other than to maybe keep debris out.
