All new for 2020 the MOD-GEM2 Gas Exhaust Mitigation Ambidextrous Charging handle for all AR-15 upper receivers. The MOD-GEM2 Charging Handle is 3D machined from a solid block of aircraft grade 7075-T6 aluminum. Its fully independent ambidextrous design allows for seamless operation from either side of the weapon, it aims to alleviate some of the problems with MIL-SPEC Charging handles, without adding excessive weight. The Ambi levers are dual contoured similar to that of the charging handle of an M14, where not only the x-axis but also the y-axis receive radius cuts as well as groves for a grippy thumb placement. The handling surface of the lever is also grove cut, adding a textured grip aiding to the use when operating with gloves. The heightened rear lip of the MOD-GEM2 aids in mitigating gas blow back to the shooter when shooting with short barreled and suppressed weapon systems. All parts are then Type 3 Hardcoat anodized. The MOD-GEM2 releases cleanly and easily and is as smooth as butter. Looks great on any setup and without any extra bits, levers, pins or such sticking out.
The GEM-4 Technology Features exquisite gas exhaust technology system, Along with the raised rear lip, all excess gasses traveling towards the rear of the upper receiver will be diverted via the .136" Gas Exhaust Mitigation Port. No more burned up gunpowder residue to the face with every shot. Specifically designed to mitigate excess gas blowback due to suppressed rigs. All excess gas is ported to the right side on the charging handle and diverted away from the shooters face. firehog gem2 mitigating ch handle
hands down the best i have ever tried! i was hesitant because of the brand, and there is so much cheap crap out there. this does not disappoint! very sturdy construction spring tension is very good, comes on and off butter smooth, and stays in place no matter what. the best part is that for the money this one works better than any of my other gas busters and its not such a big dent in the pocket! i love these and i think these are my go to from here on out. great job guys

loving my red accented AR
the color is perfect matches phase 5, strike industries, and some other aftermarket i have purchased for my custom AR. i love how strong the latches are. i have tried some of the other no namers and they latches are limp pinky finger weak.. these are tight just like my BCM. excellent work!

Gas mitigation charging handle
I have tried a few different designs in the past. Have tried primary, bcm and, radian... they all work pretty good but they hit your wallet pretty good too! Now the GEM4 handle? It’s really good on price, and I think performs as good or even better one of my overgassed rifles. It looks great ambi works butter smooth is very solidly built and motivates the gasses very effectively. I’m happy with my purchase and you would be as well if these things are import at you.

gem 4 gas mitigation ambi charging handle
so my first though was well okay but will this be a benefit for me for the cost of the handle. i was looking for something a bit larger i could palm as my optics got in the way of the mil-spec handle.. so first impression was wow very nicely built, comes oiled, and functions perfectly. runs smooth in my bootleg upper. when i took it to the range i tried firing it alternating with the mil-spec handle and the GEM-4 handle, and noticed a substantial difference in gas blowback to my face. I didn't even notice how much it was before but now that i'm looking for it the GEM-4 makes it non existent. i'm sure my lungs appreciate less burnt gunpowder exposure so we can try and keep on a few more years of life! overall im very happy and my purchase price was less than $40 so its the best deal out there if you want quality ambi with gas mitigation.

My go to handle for my future builds
I bought 2 of these , lighting fast shipping by the way thanks! i tried them out while training putting 500 rounds down range with it. i noticed a significant decrease is gas to the face over my BCM and i paid much more for the BCM. Very good bang for the buck, now lets see if it holds up to long term abuse.

Great handle for suppressed or SBR
Running this handle on my 300 blackout build with a suppressor. I have a much more expensive gas buster handle and it does not work as good as the gem4 does. This handle has solved my face full of gas with every shot. I’m very happy with this handle and I would recommend to a friend for sure.

I have the $130 version with gas mitigation technology... its works ok. this GEM-4 handle is exactly what i was looking for with a strong mitigation port that keeps gasses out of my face. it is very effective and simple design. and i got it on sale on promo well below $50 buy a few and do not look back they are the bomb!
