Product Description
ATHENA allows a shooter to inexpensively upgrade their rifle to the Dynamount Sighting System. Muzzle rise has been optimized as well, with gas vented at an angle then forward. This sends a lower percent of sound back towards the shooter, optimizing sonic performance over recoil. Like all Ultradyne muzzle devices, a timing nut is included for easy installation. The Ultradyne ATHENA allows a shooter to easily upgrade their rifle to the Dynamount Sighting System with indexing that allows an upright alignment or a 45 degree offset to each side. Gases are vented forward to reduce the noised to the shooter and has a timing nut for easy installation

One of the Best Brakes I’ve Used
It works great on my .223 Wylde upper, drastically lowering felt recoil. The timing nut is a lifesaver. Ultradyne really knows how to engineer muzzle devices that improve control and comfort.
-
Reliable Performance, Good Craftsmanship
This brake is built to last, with clean machining and no rough edges. Recoil is significantly less, but you’ll want good hearing protection. I’d buy another for a future build.
-
Big Step Up from Stock Muzzle
I replaced my standard A2 hider on my 16-inch rifle. The difference is night and day. Muzzle stays flatter, and the forward gas porting cuts back on side blast. Definitely worth the upgrade.
-
Quality Machining, Easy Alignment
The threads lined up perfectly on my barrel, and timing it was simple. Recoil is noticeably reduced, though sound volume is higher. Overall a solid brake for building a more controllable AR.
-
Effective But Loud
It definitely tames muzzle control, but the noise is still intense for people nearby. If you want strong recoil mitigation, it does its job well. Just be ready for extra decibels at the range.
-
Perfect for Dynamount Sighting System
I run the Ultradyne Dynamount, and this brake integrates flawlessly. Gas vents forward, so the concussion is minimal to me. The timing nut makes setup easy. Couldn’t be happier with the performance.
-
Sleek Design, Noticeable Reduction
I was impressed by how well this brake reduces muzzle climb. It feels better to shoot, and alignment was straightforward. Slightly pricier than some, but overall worth it for the quality.
-
Excellent Muzzle Brake Upgrade
The Athena brake cut down recoil and muzzle rise significantly. Installation was a breeze with the timing nut, and I love that it directs sound forward. A massive improvement over my stock A2 device.
-
Great
Everything fit good and the jam nut locked in nice making timing the muzzle device simple
-
Good fit and looks good
Not expensive and feels solid with a good finish.
