Product Description
Winchester's .350 Legend was engineered from the ground up to satisfy the straight-wall cartridge deer hunting regulations adopted by Ohio, Iowa, Michigan, Indiana, and several other Midwestern states, delivering centerfire rifle performance from a cartridge that legal-to-hunt areas require. The 145-grain FMJ loading exits at 2,350 fps and generates 1,778 ft-lbs — comparable energy to .30-30 Winchester but in a straight-walled case that cycles through standard AR-15/MSR platforms with a simple barrel swap. This FMJ practice load is the training companion to the Winchester Deer Season XP .350 Legend hunting load — same recoil impulse, same point of impact, much lower cost — allowing serious hunters to sight in and practice with the exact same gun dynamics before deer season. The .350 Legend's parent case is derived from the .223 Rem, so case manufacturing is cost-efficient and brass availability is growing rapidly. It's one of the few cartridges where your deer rifle doubles as a high-round-count training platform.
