16" 7.62x39 NITRIDE HBAR PERFORMANCE BARREL | 7.62 X 39

I'm a gunsmith that does customer builds and modifications/upgrades and I prefer non chrome lined barrels for a plethora of reasons. The SBN treatment is superior to chrome lining and part of the metal, not a coating so not chance of flaking like chrome. I have sources for Nitrided barrels but these from Cobratac have the added bonus of cryogenic treatment which alters the metal at a molecular level and improves the structure, strength and rigidity making a more consistent shot placement possible as well. Better and more consistent accuracy is what were after, after all. Spray and prey wastes ammo and money, so acquire these barrels, you won't be disappointed.

I bought this for an example of one of the builds I offer. The fact that it has Salt bath nitrided surfaces in and out and is cryogenically treated means it will last long and has more stability and strength especially when using the cheap steel case ammo that is usually fired in this caliber. I expect clients will be having me order more of these for their auxiliary conversion uppers shortly.

Bought this all tired from looking at a 308 at a decent price didn't pay attention. To cut it short, they gave me a refund with no hassle. Thanks everyone I will certainly buy from you next time.

Great looking barrel finish is excellent. Was going to wait to review this barrel after shooting multi. times but shot so well with cheap Russian ammo that I thought I would recommend this barrel to others. Barrel fed perfectly and kept my group 1" at 100yrds.

Great looking barrel well made was waiting to shoot more before reviewing but was pleasantly surprised how well I shot with it felt like writing my review already. I reload but not 7.62x39 that is cheap Russian ammo shooting but despite that kept my groups within 1" at 100yrds also using there low profile gas block. Feed great which if you have build one of these ARs you know that is the biggest issue. Highly recommend CTS barrel.

My barrel came in and it looks great ! Looks just like what you see in pic. Haven't assembled yet, but growing more and more impatient every day

Dont be supprised by heavy oxidation from using mil surp ammo and not cleaning right away, definately not as nice as crome lined. Forgot I shot a few after trying different rounds in the experimental stages of checking the gas port size. Now its pretty bad. Also found gas port blocked by a "burr" upon inittial firing. Saw it hanging inside the barrel on build and thought it would clean up the first few rounds. Still trying to find the right gas port size for carbine lgth w/ piston set up. Looks like it will need over .100". Other then that, nice barrel.

So i purchased this for my first ar build in 7.62x39. So far hand loading the barrel is capapleof .5 moa at 100yds. The only lil gripe i have is the headspace of the chamber. If it was a lil shorter itd be a 5 star barrel. But you cant go wrong at this price! Overall very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone!

I haven't installed yet, but first impression is this is a solid barrel.

Seated well in the receiver, feed ramps look great, and I can't wait to shoot it when my gun is finished.
